Since 2010, dbi services has engineered and run the data platforms Swiss organizations depend on. This page is who we are, how we grew, and why our experts stay committed to the platforms our clients rely on.
Our story
Depth first. Then everything around it.
dbi services was founded in 2010 in Delémont, in the Swiss Jura. We started as database specialists: the people organizations called when the systems the whole business ran on had to hold. That work set a discipline that never left us. It also taught us that complex platforms don't reward generalists. We chose depth and expertise instead.
The estates around those databases kept growing, and we grew with them. Application server, OS, cloud, DevOps, analytics, monitoring, data quality and digitalization: each expertise was added because our customers' platforms demanded it, and each was held to the standard of our beginnings.
Today, the same company designs, runs, and secures entire data platforms for Swiss organizations in pharmaceuticals, banking, insurance, industry, health, media, energy, and the public sector.
Fifteen years, one standard
From database specialists to a Swiss reference.
2010
Founded in Delémont, in the Swiss Jura, as a specialist in database and middleware infrastructure. Subsidiaries in Basel and Lausanne open the same year, in both German- and French-speaking Switzerland.
2011
ISO 20000 certified, one year in: IT service management held to a recognized international standard.
2014
Oracle Partner of the Year, Switzerland. The first milestone in a partnership strategy built on recommending the best-fit solution for each customer, not one vendor's roadmap.
2015
Zurich office opens, expanding presence and customer support in German-speaking Switzerland.
2016
The Romandie subsidiary relocates from Lausanne to Nyon.
2017
7th best employer in Switzerland (Great Place to Work, 20 to 49 employees), a first appearance in the ranking.
2018
Bern office opens, a presence in the Swiss capital. Ranked 17th best employer in the 50 to 249 category, scoring 89% against a 77% Swiss average.
2019
Switzerland's best employer, 1st place in the 50 to 249 category (Great Place to Work), with a 96% employee satisfaction score.
2020
ISO 27001 certified. With Verium AG, dbi services creates Sequotech, a group built to accelerate growth across the DACH IT services market.
2022–2023
Best Workplaces Switzerland, certified two consecutive years.
2024
Certified M-Files Delivery Partner for Enterprise Content Management. Development begins on YaK, dbi services' own platform-agnostic cloud deployment framework. Fair-ON-Pay certified: equal pay verified by external audit.
2025
YaK 2.0 launches: one consistent framework to deploy infrastructure across multi-cloud and on-premises environments, with built-in quality and cost efficiency. EcoVadis Silver | Top 15%: our environmental, social and ethical practices assessed on the same terms our customers assess us.
